My Students
These students are a group of low income students who come to school eager to learn. For some students P.E (Physical Education) is their strong subject and excel at playing mental fitness games and exercises. I want to create a safe environment for these students to be able to participate and work together to complete exercises.
Since the pandemic, PE was one of the subjects cut in our previous year and these supplies will help me to bring PE back to students safely.
Students need to be able to run around freely outside and give their minds a break during the day. Most of them enjoy play time during recess and PE is a good outlet for them to take a break from academics.
My Project
As the new school year starts, keeping students socially distanced and safe is the number one priority. Physical Education was one of the subjects cut last year as the uncertainty of not being able to keep students safe was a huge concern.
These supplies will help me to keep students socially distanced from each other as well as giving them materials to play education games.
The pool noodles will be useful for tagging names where students will not have to in close proximity to each other. The physical fitness equipment like hurdles, agility ladders, jump ropes, and stretching bands will be used to help students complete exercises individually and then sanitized after each use. This will ensure PE can be done safely and students will still be able to have fun at the same time.
