Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
Our school has a Resource Specialist Program (RSP) that supports elementary-aged students with learning disabilities. With this program, our student can succeed within their least restrictive environment among their non-disabled peers. Our RSP class has a busy schedule of student rotations that come in for support in their academics for time slots from 30 to 90 minutes per school day. By having a place for everything and keeping the classroom tidy, students can avoid distractions and stay on task.
A well-organized and sanitized desk or work area can also help students stay focused, as they can easily find what they need and won't have to waste time looking for things.
With these items, every student will have an area where they can safely store their items and unfinished work. It will support our students in reaching their goals as well as learning life-long organizational skills that will benefit them through their college years and adulthood!
