Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
Our students love to learn, they thrive when developing and applying new skills, and they are resilient. We are an urban, low-income district, and the majority of our students come from hardworking immigrant families, many of whom speak a language other than English at home. Every student has access to the books, resources and opportunities in our elementary library media center, where they can have explore topics that interest them and participate in learning experiences that motivate them!
Our amazing elementary complex library serves 2000+ students in four schools -- these supplies will help us keep it fresh and clean to start the year!
The Kleenex, Lysol wipes, Swiffer dusters and other cleaning supplies will help us continue to keep the library media center clean and healthy. The humidity monitors and moisture absorbers will help with monitoring the air quality in order to keep our books in good condition.
These supplies will help students stay safe and healthy in our Library Media Center, so they can keep reading, learning and working hard!
