Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
I am incredibly proud of my students, many of whom face emotional challenges and are on the autism spectrum. Despite these obstacles, they show incredible resilience and determination to learn every day. Maintaining a clean and organized environment is especially important for them, as it helps reduce anxiety and provides a calm, structured space where they can focus and feel safe.
The supplies I’m requesting, such as baby wipes, Lysol, paper towels, and cleaning wipes, will help us maintain a germ-free, orderly classroom that supports their sensory needs and helps prevent overstimulation.
A clean space is critical for students with sensory sensitivities, as it allows them to engage without distractions. The printer will give us the ability to create personalized learning materials, visual aids, and structured schedules that help these students better understand routines and expectations.
My goal for this project is to provide a stable, hygienic, and nurturing learning environment where students can feel secure and supported. Each of my students is special in their own way, and they all benefit from a space that encourages emotional regulation and positive interactions. With these resources, they will have the opportunity to thrive and reach their full potential.
