Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
"Instructional time is valuable"! That's what I tell my students every day. Learners must always be prepared for the next lesson and shouldn't waist time.
I teach in a fourth grade monolingual class.
Our school is located in a high-need, low income community where for many of my students English is NOT their dominant language. My students love to learn new things everyday.
They come to school with the desire to acquire new knowledge.
My Project
This year my students our housed in one room for literacy and in another room for math. Everyday they have to travel between the two rooms. These storage bags will allow for them to carry and protect their belongings with ease. This way instructional time is not spent gathering materials. The students will have four baggies each to store their reading, writing, math, and science/social studies tools.
Your support in this project will allow the students to have more time for instruction.
These baggies WILL allow us to use our time more productively by helping us stay organized and ready to work.
Nearly all students from low‑income households
