Loving our books the way we do, we really like to have nice bookshelves in which to keep them! All of our shelves are either filled up or not sturdy enough to be useful for our books.
Our students are special needs students in grades K-12.
Our school is a center for students who have been designated as having severe emotional and behavior disorders. They come to our school to help them learn some coping strategies that will eventually allow them to return to their area schools.
My Project
Simply having enough room to properly store the books is going to make them so much more accessible, not to mention, inviting and appealing. We are going to be able to take our CDs out of our bookshelves and give them a shelf of their own. Having the proper storage is essential!
Our school does not have the kind of resources that other schools have and we have to be very resourceful to find things that we need - some very basic - like bookshelves.
We love our library, but some of the shelves are so sad, with metal bent shelves or with books on their sides to fit them in, we would really like to spruce it up. These bookshelves will be another step to that goal.
