Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
As a first year teacher, I am adjusting to the life in first grade -everything from organizing my classroom to ensuring that my students are receiving the best education I can give them. Most of my students are English Language Learners from South Los Angeles.
I have no doubt that my students are motivated learners who value education.
I envision my students coming to school excited and ready to learn every single day. It is my duty as an educator to create opportunities and equip students with the tools and resources to be successful in all their endeavors.
My Project
The materials I requested will be used during reading and math centers. The magnetic boards will be used during word work where students play with words. They will use magnetic letters to make words and then write the words. The back side will be used for printing practice. The laminated pockets will be a great way to save paper, as students can erase their work for the next person. The book bins will help me organize the library so my scholars can have easy access to all the books available for them.
