My Project
My learners are kind, cool, creative, and inquisitive. Sometimes we explore foods for educational purposes, like when we dissected fruit and observed it with our five senses and when we sampled Mexican fruit cups while learning about different cultures during Hispanic Heritage Month. We also receive fruits and vegetables through our partnership with the University of Maryland Extension for SNAP-ed Edible ABC lessons and Brighter Bites!
We need a fridge to keep their snacks and food cold and to freeze our popsicles to beat the summer heat!
The refrigerator would prevent me from being out of class from having to take the long trek to the teachers’ lounge to retrieve our snacks from the shared refrigerator. We also won’t have to worry about our things ending up missing or not fitting inside when the fridge is already full. So it would be so helpful if we had our own!
I would also love to give my students an end of the year popcorn party! So I have added materials to help make that a possibility!
