My Students
My students live in impoverished areas of the city. More than 95% of students receive government assistance. All of my students receive free lunch. Some of my students come without the bare necessities for class. I often see students wearing the same mask each day. Most masks are dirty or ill-fitting. However, they're eager to learn and they yearn for a better way of life.
My goal is to supply students in need with a supply center in my class.
I will continue to make my class an all-inclusive class, so all students can feel comfortable.
My Project
These items will foster a sense of safety at the height of the COVID pandemic. Our Sanitation Center will provide students with Lysol wipes and spray along with protective facemasks, while we continue to struggle to learn in person. I will disinfect all surfaces with Microban. I will also continue to share with students the effectiveness of guarding their environment against germs and viruses. Students will also assist with keeping their personal area sanitized. Our Sanitation Center will provide students with routines and safeguards against various contagions on our school campus.
