My Students
Pre-Kindergarteners are always cute but they can also always be really messy.
There are 18 energetic three and four-year-old children in my class.
Our school includes students from Pre-K through eighth grade. It is in a high poverty area, and about 95% of the students in the school receive free lunch. Our school is in a low-income neighborhood, where budget cuts have left no hope that materials will be purchased in the near future.
My Project
The hand soap, paper towels and Clorox wipes I am requesting will help keep our classroom clean and my students healthy. To avoid the spread of germs my students wash their hands several times a day. The hand soap will let us continue this practice. We also need the Clorox wipes so I can wipe down tables, classroom surfaces and toys as another way of stopping the spread of germs. The paper towels will be used to clean up the spills and other messes created by my students.
There are many important things I have to do to create a positive learning environment for my Pre-Kindergarten students.
One of the most important things is keeping it clean to help keep the students healthy.
More than three‑quarters of students from low‑income households
