it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
I am a STEAM teacher in a large elementary school. Each week, I teach 12 classes, ranging from grades 1-8, which is 287 students in total! With so many people going in and out of my STEAM lab each day, it is imperative to maintain a clean and germ-free learning environment in order to keep my students safe and healthy. I am requesting supplies such as hand sanitizer, tissues, disinfectant spray and wipes, paper towels and cleaners. These items will be used routinely to make sure the tables, chairs, and hands stay clean! My students work on group projects and experiments and often move to different areas of the room. Having cleaning supplies stored in my room will ensure that the classroom is sanitized and clean every day.
Research has found when a child's workspace is clean, they are 83% more productive, 77% more creative and 77% less stressed.
Therefore, it is imperative to ensure that the environment is clean and hygienic. A clean classroom is important for many reasons, including: preventing the spread of germs, reducing asthma and allergy triggers, and improving indoor air quality. Keeping my students healthy will reduce absenteeism and regular school attendance is important for a child's academic, social, and emotional development!
