My Project
As sixth graders, my students will enter middle school with a limited understanding of the expectations for them. I want to set the stage correctly and get them used to having some structure that they can carry forth into future grades. In an urban environment where many of my students' families simply do not have the resources for something as simple as organization, I want to be able to provide for them with some regularity in the classroom.
Every day, students will enter my classroom with a warm greeting and the expectation that they need to be "ready to learn." This expectation is fulfilled by getting their binders from their resting spots and setting up in the classroom with their supplies and having a smile on their faces.
I am requesting binders for all of my students, as well as dividers and filler paper so students have everything they need at their fingertips.
