Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
This school year I will loop with my kindergarten students on to first grade. During center time, the majority of the class always picked the art station. This year, I want to increase our art station based on what I saw that they liked last year. Last year my students were learning how to draw simple objects by using shapes. This year I want to increase their drawing work with books.
The "how-to-draw-" books will help my students increase their drawing skills.
I know the books will keep them entertained. Many got frustrated last year when they did not know how to draw objects and the books will help them guide them. The cart will be used to keep our drawing books organized. They will also use stamps to create a picture then write what they made. The puzzles will be used for a brain break.
The math cashier will be used for our money unit. We will learn how to handle money.
