This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
Creativity and imagination run wild in the art room. And sometimes the messes do too. Cleaning supplies are things I usually spend my own money on for my classroom. But with over a hundred and fifty students in and out of my classroom each day, a roll of paper towels doesn’t make it past a few days. Soap, paper towels, tissues, and aprons are consistently used by all my students.
I always teach my students responsibility.
They know that it is not my job to clean up after them. When they spill the paint, they clean their mess. Having an abundant amount of paper towels and soap will not only keep my classroom looking wonderful and take some of the burden off our amazing and busy custodial staff, but it will help teach my students basic skills and responsibilities they can continue throughout life.
