My Project

Daily we spend an hour engaged in small group reading centers. This is where I pull students, in groups of 4-6, and teach them how to read and write.

We are requesting a variety of tools that will make learning to read and write fun!

We need a magnetic tens frame to help students count the sounds in a word. These boards are dry erase so students can also write the corresponding letters. The lenses of the sunglasses will be removed to create "reading glass." Then students can wear them while they whisper read to themselves. We need pencil grips that teach students how to properly grasp a pencil. The finger spaces teach students to put spaces between their words when writing. The reading tools are highlighted sticks that help students to track words while they read. The witch fingers make it fun for students to point to the words while they read. All of these items will be color coded and compiled in the mesh zipper bag. These items will make small group reading fun!
