Pencils will make WRITING the central focus in my classroom. These high-quality pencils will help 40 students create, edit, and finalize their thoughts in English Language Arts, Science, and Health lessons. My students have boundless imagination and expressive personalities. They also come from historically and economically disadvantaged backgrounds, where English is not their preferred language at home, or benefit from extra support because of their disabilities.

My goal is for every student to have the tools they need to learn without hurdles and hesitation. I have watched students worry about breaking or losing their pencils, which creates increased anxiety, limits their participation, and shrinks their confidence when learning. This project will decrease the hurdle of school supplies and increase their confidence through written expression in my 3rd grade classroom.
