Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

The scholars I teach have so much potential and it is my job to help them achieve it. The majority of our students are from low socioeconomic and ethnically diverse backgrounds. We are an urban school that serves grades preschool through 8th and is limited in funding in all areas. My second graders are determined, spunky 7 -8-year-olds. They are eager to learn new things and want to share all their thoughts and ideas with me and their classmates.

Elementary students must get outside to breathe fresh air and increase their physical activity during the school day.

The fresh air gives the students a change in scenery while improving their memory, attention, and concentration. My students love taking walks, playing at the playground, and/or simply going outside to read a book. The weather in the Midwest is shifting and the need for warmer garments is vital. The hats, scarves, gloves, and thermal socks will provide my students with enough warmth to enjoy recess or part of class outside.
