My Students
These materials are for a wonderful group of 3rd graders who are excited about learning! My favorite part of teaching is helping my students develop a love for learning! Our school is amazing, and it is a very warm and inviting place. We have a wonderful community of teachers, parents, and students working hard every day to help everyone succeed.
My school has a very diverse population of students and families.
We are located in what some call a bedroom community, because parents work farther from home. Some of our students are low income, English Language Learners, come from single-parent homes, or are living with other guardians. It can be challenging meeting the needs of the varying abilities and backgrounds of the students, but it is something I enjoy doing. I am looking to instill a love for learning in my students.
My Project
My students have many flexible seat options in the classroom, however, the exercise balls are getting flat from so much use. We need a good pump that will work quickly to get the exercise balls back in service so that the students can continue to move around the room. Over my last few years of teaching, I have come to discover that allowing my students to work where ever helps them focus better. Giving them seats that are flexible also helps get their wiggles out.
My students love interacting with their Edison Robots, however keeping them moving is a bit costly.
We need rechargeable batteries and a charger to not only keep the robots moving but also to help the environment by not throwing batteries away.
