This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

As a teacher in a low-income/high poverty school district, my students are faced with several challenges both in and out of the classroom. I am working with both diverse learners and ELL students. We are 95 percent free lunch and we are low on resources. Despite the many challenges they face, they are eager to learn and create a bright future.

My students work hard everyday to learn and create projects to ensure that they are learning to be leaders in the future.

They are very hard workers who want to be successful. I know that when I can give them supplies they cannot bring in themselves it gives them confidence and a big smile on their faces.

My Project

I am asking for supplies to keep our classroom germ free. Our students need to be in school every day so we need to keep the room sanitized to stop the spread of any viruses that the students bring into the classroom.

It is a constant battle to keep our students healthy during the flu season.

Our students share computers with three different classes, and they sit at the same tables. It is important to keep the surfaces free of germs. Our students are very aware of the importance of sanitizing the room and follow the daily routine of wiping the surfaces down.
