This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

Every Wednesday, my students get to read for 20-30 min. They can pick a STEAM book, magazine, and even SciFi. This is reading for the love of reading's sake.

"How do we turn our students into people who love to read?

The only thing that can do that is books. Reading actual books alongside other people reading actual books."

Help my students learn to love reading by helping me build up my classroom library. When they come into my room, I say "Grab a book, Technology, Science, Engineering Physics, Science Fiction, and READ for 20 min... for enjoyment. No Grade, 15 min of just Reading, Learning, and Growing. Pick a book, magazine, or website!
