My students need to be kept active. The Kan Jam, Slammo, Badminton and Volleyball sets would help them to be active on campus during lunch and after school.

My Students
My students are mostly coming from at-risk homes of low poverty, having a grandparent or other relative care for them, and some of them are parents themselves. They all want an education just as much as a child that does not face such adversity, and they crave the same educational experiences as any other teenager.
We strive to provide experiences for our students to prepare them for their futures.
We give them the opportunities to visit colleges, technical schools, have speakers from all over the community come in to meet them. We give them sports, community outreach programs, events and more to help them achieve the ultimate educational experience.
My Project
Teenagers are prone to make choices that impact their lives negatively when they are not kept active in sports, arts, or other extracurricular activities. By introducing them to different kinds of physical activities, my goal is to help them make more positive choices.
Our school in general hosts many sports for our students, but I would like to expand that beyond after-school sports to activities available to our students during the school day.
The volleyball area would be available for students who may have a free period or for use during lunch as well as after school. The Kan-Jam and Ball would be for students who get to lunch earlier as a reward, as well as for use during lunch. Badminton would be an excellent sport to add to our list of offerings as we have not offered it and most of our students do not know anything about it.
These materials will help impact our student's lives by introducing them to a positive physical activity to teach them, and giving them something else to do during lunch time.
