My Project

Music isn't just something we hear, it's something we feel. When a child plays a drum, they don't just make a sound. They feel the vibrations go through their hands and connect with the rhythm in their bodies. This is the experience I want to bring to my students.

This percussion instrument donation project is all about helping give young musicians the chance to truly feel the music.

When a child hits a drum, they immediately feel the rebound of their hand on the drumhead, and they hear the sound resonate through the room. This hands-on, tactile connection helps students understand beat, tempo and dynamic in a way that goes beyond just listening.

But it's not only about each individual child's discovery. Playing percussion instruments together creates something magical. There is an energy in the room unlike any other, and children begin to listen not only to the beat of their own drum, but to all the other students around them. It's moments like these that foster confidence, cooperation, and a sense of community within them.

I'm seeking a donation of drums, maracas, Boomwhackers and other percussion instruments to help give my students unforgettable musical experiences. Help me give my students the opportunity to create music together and develop a lifelong appreciation for the magic of music.
