Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
Social studies and history are important to teach to students however, my district does not provide a curriculum or any resources to teach the students. Scholastic news is a great resource because it gives students articles on current events and other topics. As well as giving them articles about the world which they may not experience but help.
scholastic news provides social justice resources and teaches students how they are important world changers.
It is super engaging and fun for the students. Along with the articles the online access gives them the opportunity to watch engaging videos, take quizzes, and do other activities to accompany the articles. Scholastic news can reach all the students in my classroom.
