Keep Our Healthy Snacks Cool Not Frozen!

My students need a fridge to keep our fruits, veggies, cheese, and yogurt cool and fresh!

My Students

My students are enthusiastic and curious about everything, including the spider on the floor, the letter B, and how the pencil sharpener works. They come from more than eight different linguistic and cultural backgrounds and include students with special needs and students who have experienced trauma.

Many of my students' parents, grandparents, brothers, sisters, cousins, aunties, and uncles have all attended our neighborhood school and you can feel love and a strong sense of community throughout the building.

Within our diverse school family one of the things my students are most excited about is each other. They love to learn and play together and our school day is filled with giggles, questions, tinkering, dancing, and conversations. It is a joy and a privilege to get to learn and grow with these amazing humans every day.

My Project

Kindergarten is a long day filled with running, writing, reading, dancing, counting, problem-solving, talking, and more. My students are building muscles in their arms, legs, and core and they are growing new neurons in their brain all day long. They need healthy snacks to keep their motors running strong and my current refrigerator freezes anything I put in it!

Frozen carrots and yogurt are not the tastiest of snacks!

We need a new mini-fridge to store fruits, veggies, and other snacks so I can give my students the nutritious snacks they need to fuel all the growing their bodies and brains are doing!
