My Students

My students are mostly African- American in the Englewood community of Chicago. Students come from mostly low income households that continue to struggle amidst the Covid pandemic. They care about their learning and are eager to come to school each day.

My Project

Our students are always eager to come to school even during the pandemic and frigid Chicago temperatures. Often they come with inadequate outer wear for such extreme weather. Little ones also often misplace their hats and gloves going to and fro. The pandemic has wreaked havoc on the finances of our community and these supplies cannot always be replenished by our families. I would love you to help me to supply students in need with much needed winter essentials. many of our students are from multiple children households and rely the school for many basic needs. You could help us give students a warmer walk to school.
