My Students
I work at a Title 1 school with most of the community being low income families. Each child receives a free breakfast and lunch daily along with many students receiving a food backpack for the weekend. These children have an eagerness to learn but unfortunately lack the resources or funds sometimes required. As their teacher I want to make the classroom the most fun filled, top notch learning environment for them. I have looped up with some of these students for the 3rd year now. They are like my own children. Each day I see their struggles and their achievements. What a blessing it is to see them so excited when they have reached a goal. Help me continue that...it's AMAZING!
My Project
These books will offer my students many options when choosing a book to read. With so many different titles to add to the class library, that unfortunately is being rebuilt because of hurricane Irma, students will be excited to choose their new book for the week.
Your donation will be such a blessing to our class.
These kids love to read they just need the resources to continue fulfilling that love they have. The mail slots will be a perfect way for each student to store their book and journal as they read in the classroom everyday. We are ready to start turning pages!
