My Students
I teach sixth, seventh, and eighth grade band classes, jazz band and various small ensembles. I also lead our Tri-M Music Honor Society.
My band students are passionate and motivated to do well in school.
We are a small Title I school with students of all backgrounds. Because of the economy, we receive no funding for our band program, but my students continue to thrive and grow musically. My students are eager to learn and want to succeed. We could use any assistance in providing necessary equipment and instruments to be successful!
My Project
Our band has been very fortunate to raise enough funds to purchase a used tuba this year! Although we have been able to acquire a new tuba, we do not have a case to transport it in when the student takes it home to practice or when we have off campus performances!
The student who uses this instrument is very responsible and has had to transport the tuba with no case, since it did not come with one.
Please help us raise funds to have a protective case to make transporting the tuba safer and convenient for students who will play this school owned tuba for years to come!
