My Students

My students are some of the most amazing I have ever met. They enjoy coming to school and achieving their goals despite struggles at home. Many of my students are in an art class for the first time since elementary school, so they are finding a creative side they did not know existed. Seeing their excitement when they complete a project is very rewarding. The majority of the students come from low-economic households, and parents do not have the financial means to provide essentials for their child.

My Project

Having cleaning materials for my art classroom will make a world of difference for my students. I have students who are in a studio art class and a sculpture class and we are always so busy creating that the clean up is key. Having an air purifier for the room will help with all the dust that accumulates when we are working with the clay, its such a hard task to stay on top of to keep it under control. Having the lysol wipes will help in a quick clean up for the students allowing them extra time to continue working on their art. Also, for us to stay healthy we need essential snacks that are healthily choices in our class pantry. I also provide personal hygiene products to my students who need.
