This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
Over the years, I have witnessed students in need of personal hygiene items. Females have been in urgent need of sanitary pads and wipes, because they had an "accident" at school. These young ladies were embarrassed and anxious, because they were without the feminine products that they so urgently need. Additionally, young men had harsh body odor.
I have also observed students who are not clean, so their body odors permeated the class.
I have had counselors to meet with these students. Additionally, I have also purchased various items for students to take home to use. I'm a firm believer that smelling good makes you feel good.
