My Students
My students live in impoverished areas of the city. More than 95% of my students receive government assistance. Some students come to school hungry and without the bare necessities for class. Numerous students have to walk to and from school, even if they live a mile away from the school. Additionally, all students don’t have access to technology, and/or the WiFi in classes is extremely slow. Consequently, I have to print assignments for students who don’t have computers. My students are still eager to learn and they yearn for a better life. My goal is to provide students with everything that they need to succeed.
My Project
Students in my classes will be reassured that they are safe. Most of my students receive free lunch because their parent or guardian has an income below the state poverty level. Students have difficulties with purchasing materials needed for class. I continue to share my supplies with students. Students who are not on my rosters know that they can ask me for whatever they need. If I have it, then they can get it. Therefore, my classes will use supplies to disinfect their personal area in each class to feel safer.
