My Students
Our students come from every corner of the world, seeking a new life of opportunity and freedom here in the United States. They come with the hope that education will allow them to meet their full potential.
Through collaboration, cross-discipline, and engaging hands-on projects, our students build a deeper understanding of issues that impact them and our environment.
Our school is located on the water's edge. It is a small Title I high school located in the Flatbush area of Brooklyn. We are sandwiched between two major urban bridges - The Brooklyn and Manhattan Bridges. All of my students are English language learners (ELLs).
My Project
I would like my students to have access to the laboratory tools they need while they are in high school while maintaining a clean, safe classroom environment.
Unfortunately, in these uncertain times, we must take extra care to ensure the safety of our students once they return to class.
The cleaning supplies needed to clean-up after our laboratory activities will help alleviate some of the anxiety of students and staff.
Hand soap will be in constant use through the day to maintain a safe and healthy environment. The Clorox, Windex and paper towels will be used to wipe down our lab counters after each lab activity. The sponges will be used to clean-up our glassware. The industrial strength Wypalls will help with large spills that need to be picked up quickly.
