The students in my classroom are students with learning disabilities. My class serves students with a range of disabilities such as intellectual disabilities, emotional disturbance and other specific learning disabilities.
My students need sports gear to engage in track and field activities.
They spend countless hours practicing and preparing for track and field events. My team understands that it takes hard work and dedication to be a successful athlete. We have participated in athletic events and need the proper gear to be more competitive and easily identifiable.
My Project
My students are very competitive and as they progress, they will be able to effectively participate in team and independent sporting events using these resources.
The running shorts and pedometers will enable students to identify themselves as a group and track the progress they make during practice and during field events.
The shorts will give them a sense of belonging and will boost their athletic confidence. They will be able to use items as they travel to compete with other schools or organizations at various events. We will be able to identify our team members as they participate in events.
