This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

H.M.E. school serves a diverse and active community Kindergarten through Grade 5.

Our students are dynamic learners.

In our unpredictable society they enter school each day in hopes of accessing a positive, safe, and supportive environment. As educators we provide the resources and develop relationships to create successful

social-emotionally aware individuals. They learn the skills needed to overcome challenges, showcase their strengths, and exceed their expectations.

I meet with all students depending on the need.

This project will help aid in their daily positive school experience.

My Project

As a School Psychologist I see students in need across all grade levels and strive to help them succeed academically, socially, and emotionally,

I service both general and special education students daily.

I provide support, help children cope appropriately, learn problem-solving strategies, and boost self-esteem.

I desire to create a Calming Corner in my office where I have a comfortable chair.

It's my goal to provide a comfy and quiet area they associate with calming down.

In this space they can use visuals as well as tools to identify feelings and deal with them in a positive way.

The goal is to have students learn more about emotions and positive coping skills so they can eventually problem-solve and relax independently.

The supplies requested consist of items to create a visually calm space, build, access, and store strategy tools.
