My Students
My students currently attend a year-round school in MN. I have 23 vibrant kindergarten students that truly love to come to school. My class has a very diverse set of needs with 1/2 of the students speaking English as a second language and 1/3 of my students receive special education service. Each day is a new adventure in the world of learning. My students come to school to be fed, feel loved and find their place in this world on top of learning how to be a citizen in today’s world. They enjoy the safety of the community we have built.
My Project
My Students need a projector and screen to enhance the movement in our classroom. Winters in MN get long and we spend the majority of our time inside. I would like to give my students the opportunity to move throughout the day using MeMoves and GoNoodle. MeMoves and GoNoodle are structured activities for the whole class to work together to calm their body, get their body moving and to have fun. Students would have a chance to get their wiggles out in a safe, fun, and calming way each day.
Students will not only have fun with projector and screen they will be using it to enhance their technology skills!
The students who attend Crossroads are very lucky to have access to ipads. My students use their ipads for math, reading, writing, etc. It would be very helpful to have the screen to guide the class as we work on apps like epic, book creator, working with ten frames, and the list goes on. Students would be able to see how I model an app or a project on a large screen as they work on their ipad.
