This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
My Pre-K students represent diverse backgrounds, experiences, risk factors, and reflect a wide range of special needs. They are tiny learners ages four and five, that love reading, investigating, exploring, creating and most of all learning!
They are dreamers, thinkers, talkers, and questioners.
They are mini inspirations to themselves and others around them, even if they don't know it yet. They are budding artists, engineers, scientists, entrepreneurs, mathematicians, teachers... They are our future and I want to give them a great start to their long successful careers!
My Project
My students are in need of materials that provide sensory input and help them feel calm, self regulated and be less fidgety. Liquid tile mats will provide my students with the sensory input needed to help reduce stress and anxiety and help them feel ready to learn.
By donating to my project, you will not only help to improve and increase students attention and focus, you will ultimately help to increase their academic achievement.
My students with Sensory Processing Disorder will use the liquid tiles mats in our calm down space in the classroom. This calming space will provide them sensory breaks throughout the day to fill their sensory diet. Sensory calming breaks will help my students when they are feeling restless, angry and frustrated. These will ultimately help prevent meltdowns and get students back to learning!
