My Students

My students are a diverse group that blends together to help each other learn and be successful. At our school, we strive to create a "family" where students from all different grade levels and personal backgrounds feel comfortable and confident in themselves, each other and their teachers. We strive to create a school where people feel valued as an individual and as a learner. Everyone has something to offer and everyone is an important part of the "family."

At our school, our mantra is that we are " The best at getting better." Which means we (students and staff alike) are always trying to grow as people and learners.

My Project

My students need items to help them be inspired and focused to be the best students they can be.

I want to create a classroom environment where students feel empowered about themselves and their learning.

By creating a classroom that is calm, inviting and motivational I let all students know they are valued and capable of anything they put their minds to.

I try very hard to build strong relationships with my students. This allows me to have conversations with them when they are having great days and not so great days. Having essential oils in a diffuser may also help to calm any anxieties students many have beyond having a check in with me. Also, when looking around a classroom and seeing motivational quotes I hope students can feel inspired.

In addition, having a wireless presenter allows me to walk more freely around the room to check in with students while they are working. Also, the rolling cart with drawers will be filled with brain games, challenge work and relaxing materials for the student to have ​easy access when they have completed work.
