Keep Calm and Learn On!

My students need resources to create a calming environment to maximize their learning. We need headphones and more.

My Students

My students are just starting out in school. For many of them, this is the first time they've ever been in a school environment. I want to give them the best experience of school and set them up for success!

I teach in a high poverty school in Florida where most students are on free or reduced lunch.

School is a place where my students come to learn and grow. I want them to have every advantage possible, so they develop a love of learning and curiosity about the world in which they live.

My Project

We need light filters to soften the fluorescent lights and provide a more soothing environment. The teepee and ocean light/sound machine will provide a tranquil space for students to go when they need a moment to calm down and regroup. The foam mats will provide alternative seating for students who have difficulty sitting at a regular desk. The headphones will minimize noise distractions from students while they learn at the computers.

A calming environment will enhance student learning and happiness.

Many students come to us with special needs, and a calming learning environment is necessary to help them grow and learn.
