My students need a Google Nexus 7 Tablet with a protective case and accessories for use during center activities.
FULLY FUNDED! Ms. Fix's classroom raised $367

My Students
My class is very active. I can have up to 25 students at a time in my classroom. Since all students learn at different paces, I try to structure leveled activities for my students. Some of the ways I do this is through online programs. With only three desk top computers to share, I need techo-tools.
My students are typical 2nd Graders.
They are not big enough to be teenagers and they are too big to be babies. I can't even use "Baby" as a term of endearment or I get corrected. They are not quite sure if the Tooth Fairy, Santa, and the Easter Bunny are real, but they know that princesses and superheros are.
Our school is a Title I school. The majority of our students are economically disadvantaged. I'd like to be able to provide additional learning experiences for my students without putting an additional financial burden on their families. Some students cannot even afford school supplies.
My Project
I plan to use the Google Nexus 7 Tablet as a center activity for my students. My students have access to leveled e-readers, and other on line programs such as Study Island and BrainPop Jr. With the Google Nexus 7 Tablet, I can have students work in alone or in small groups to practice reading skills, watch educational videos to enhance my Language Arts, Math, Science, Social Studies, and Health Curriculum.
Your donation will allow my students to have additional learning opportunities by exposing them to the standards in a unique way.
In addition, my students will be able to learn the skills they need in order to get to 3rd Grade while being exposed to technology that they might otherwise not be exposed to.
Nearly all students from low‑income households
