This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
My students (especially those with Autism) need sensory and calming tools to assist them with coping.
School and life have been difficult and ever changing the last few years.
This project is designed to help them acquire the necessary skills to cope with the changes and increased stress.
We are asking more and more of our students. It is my hope that, by providing them with more tools for their toolbox, we can mitigate the effects of stress on their psyche.
I may not be able to eradicate the effects but it is definitely my mission to lessen them to the greatest extent possible.
