This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
I have created a brand new class titled Outdoor Recreation for our physical education department. I was thinking outside the box about how to come up with new and interesting activities that can be done indoors or outdoors to simulate things that are outdoor recreations. Kayaking fits the bill.
We need kayaks to teach kayaking in our Outdoor Recreation class in our pool.
Having our own kayaks will keep us from having to endlessly rent kayaks to use a few weeks a year--and we'd eventually catch up to the costs of owning our own kayaks with accumulating kayak rental fees--so this will help us not be in that situation.
