Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
My students are in a Title I school. Ninety-nine percent receive free lunch. It is a low income area with a lot of movement between schools at no fault of the children. Our area is mostly apartments and rental homes. Some of our kiddos are labeled homeless and live in hotels. The parents struggle and work double jobs at times to make ends meet. Often they are not afforded the luxury of many things others take for granted. They come to school tired at times from being kept awake at night but still eager to learn.
My Project
These authentic student sized lab coats and anti fog goggles will help my students to feel like they are actually stepping into a science laboratory as real scientists. They will be so excited to learn about science.
My students will love science experiments and activities even more when using their new authentic lab coats and anti-fog goggles.
My students will be able to be safe and learn about science as well as have safe fun with science experiments. My students will be more engaged with science learning activities and experiments in the classroom!
