This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
My students are a great bunch of kids that are eager to learn. Everything is new to them so learning anything and everything is a top priority. They love to share and be friends with one another.
They are being exposed to learning centers which allow them to play, talk to one another and create new things.
They enjoy talking and working cooperatively in groups. Having the resources necessary allows them to explore and learn new things about letters, numbers, and creations.
My Project
Gears, gears, gears will allow my students to play as they learn. I plan on using gears, in student learning centers in order to allow my students to play together and learn together with their peers. They will learn about building simple machines, force, and the concept of push and pull. It is very important for them to have constructive play in the classroom. The snap and learn alligators will allow my students to work on their abc's together. They will use tens frames to learn different ways to create numbers. They will be exposed to differentiation and manipulatives as they learn. All these different resources offer them an opportunity that they can not receive at home. As a teacher having these resources available to them makes me feel great. To allow them to play and learn is great.
