This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

COVID-19 greatly impacted my k-8 grade students. Without in-person learning they were unable to have the hands on science experiences that propel kids into the arts and sciences. Giving kids tactile exposure to how the world works intrigues and engages our students to become life long learners and investigators. I want our students to have the supplies they need to have those light bulb moments of understanding. During our Bioluminescence, UV light and How Our Eyes work! Project kids will get to see the benefits of sunscreen, just how powerful the sun is and how animals have developed adaptations to see in the darkest corners of earth.
