My Project

K-2 grade students are first learning letter recognition, letter sounds, and blending those sounds to learn to read. I wanted to give my students more opportunities to help learn how to read at their own learning pace. I work in a classroom with special education students who typically have autism. I wanted these items on my list to help with learning to read.

My students are very smart, and when the light bulb in their head goes off.

I see for the first time something I have been teaching clicks; it is so amazing to see. It is so rewarding to get to see the growth that happens throughout the year. Sometimes my students need more repetitions and practice in order to understand concepts.

I am hoping these materials will help my students get different exposure and experience for learning how to read.
