This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
My kindergartners are happy, energetic students who are eager to learn. Their organization skills have improved throughout the year, which has helped them use their resources when completing a task. We are a Title I school and while their parents help provide supplies, over the course of the school year, items get worn out and tear. To help ease the burden on families having to buy more supplies, I would love to provide my students with these more durable supplies, like the heavy-duty folders and parent communicators that we use daily.
By donating to our project, you will not only help to improve their organizational skills but also help increase their participation and use of resources wisely on a daily basis, leading them to academic success.
The folders are color-coded by subject to help them organize their work and resources in class. The parent communicators as the name indicates are great for keeping our families involved and informed. The triangular pencils are a great help for students who struggle with pencil grip, letter formation, and improving their fine motor skills. The dry-erase pockets and markers are used for daily name-writing practice, dictation, and small-group instruction. All materials to help with daily review and new learning to help reach their goals.
