My Students
The students in my classroom enjoy reading. They need to see what books are available for them to read.
My students come from an intercity school.
We are a charter school in Philadelphia. Students are always eager to read. They are encouraged throughout the day to read. I have a classroom library and the majority my students select books that I have for them to borrow. Most of my students are not able to get to public libraries.
My Project
I am asking for two inexpensive metal bookcases. My students would benefit from having these book shelves because the bookcases will give them access to a larger amount of books. My current classroom library consists of just two shelves which is simply not enough space for all the books I could make available to my students. The additional shelves would make it possible to display all the books I have for them to read. I want my students to read different genres of books but i cannot arrange the books with out additional shelving.
I want to provide my students with the opportunity to read books of all genres.
Displaying all kinds of books will help increase their interest in reading. Reading a variety of books will enhance their reading skills. I believe that by giving students the ability to choose from a larger quantity of books, will improve their appreciation of literature and hopefully promote a lifetime habit of reading.
