My students need books that are on their level for reading throughout the school day. I am also planning on creating book bags for the students to take home leveled readers every week!
I teach 25 kindergarten kiddos from the Bellevue and downtown Nashville area! I teach at a Title I school, meaning the more then 50% of our students are in the low
socioeconomic status.
My school is a melting pot of students, we house a large percentage of ELL students as well as students with special needs. Our school is so lucky to service so many different students, but it becomes challenging to meet all their needs. I'm hoping these wobble chairs will help my learners be engaged in learning!
My Project
By donating to this project you will enable my learners to have access to books that are just the right fit for them!! These books will be in my classroom library as well as my students individual book boxes. Everyday the students will have a read to self or read with a partner time where they need books that are within their instructional level. The students will get to choose books that are on their level to being home every week! Having book bags will enable that Parent - school connection we always strive for! Having the "right fit books" will develop a love of reading in my students!
