My Students
I teach at a public magnet IB elementary school in central Florida. Our school focuses on educating students to become well-rounded, knowledgeable, and globally-minded citizens who will become the leaders of tomorrow. We have a school-wide focus on STEM and inquiry based learning. It is a privilege to watch these students grow, achieve, and explore the world around them. Their drive to think innovatively and create is inspiring. My students are eager to learn and will greatly appreciate any new materials or resources. What my students can accomplish is amazing! You will be investing in the powerful young minds of future world leaders!
My Project
Our classroom library is quickly becoming exhausted and school just started for this year! We are in desperate need of more books in our room. I have chosen the beginning of several book series in an effort to draw students in. I want them to devour books like a delicious meal. I hope my students follow along in the journies of characters whereever the authors lead. Moving from book to book in a series can be so engaging. My hope is that my students will learn the thrill of finding an author they like or a character they identify with so they are drawn on to read more and more throughout the year.
