This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
I am requesting some basic school supplies for my third-grade students. We do not request supplies from our families and rely on what the school can provide or what teachers buy with their own money. After the first week of school, we are already running low on pencils and tissues.
Students need basic supplies to keep learning.
Our classroom needs good-quality Ticonderoga pencils and a good pencil sharpener. Students use colored pencils in every subject throughout the day, and I want each of them to have a full range of colors in their pencil pouches.
Additionally, I want to provide each student with a durable plastic folder containing math support tools so that they always have them at their disposal. Lastly, my students like to draw models and pictures while solving math problems. I want them to have enough space to show and explain their thinking without being discouraged by lined notebooks, so I am requesting blank composition notebooks for them.
