We need lots of paper, big paper for me to model lessons, and pre-made, high-quality art lesson plans!
Art is everywhere and art class has to be portable.
So when I model art lessons for my PreK and kinder artists, I use giant sheets of post-it paper stuck to whatever surface I have available. And, as you can imagine, my littlest artists use a lot of paper!
If you aren't familiar with it, Teachers Pay Teachers is a website full of kid-tested lesson plans and materials that have been created by actual teachers. There are phenomenal resources for art available. I use them myself, but also they make excellent plans for when guest teachers (subs) are in my class.
